Motion graphics is a very self explanatory term, they use video footage and/or animation software to create the illusion of motion and often include audio for use in advertising, animation/motion graphics that look real go by the term of photorealism. There are various areas of design within motion graphics, this includes: Film, digital video, moving type, traditional cel, stop-motion animation and 3D elements - these can be used individually or together to create a motion graphics piece. The use of a time frame allows the designer to convey more information than a single image and can take a viewer on a visual journey using a narrative.
